ministry teams
These groups of Overbrook
people desire to serve the church and community through ministry to
identified needs.
Baptismal Team-assists
candidates during a baptism event; prepares materials and cares for
the baptism area
Bereavement Meals Team-rotating
teams provide meals to grieving families at the death of church
members
Building and Grounds Team-provides
oversight and hands-on work groups for campus physical needs
Eastside Crisis Center Team-
a hands-on service opportunity in the crisis center to provide food
and other items for client distribution
Extended Session Team-provides
childcare and worship experiences for preschoolers
First Impression Team-serve
as greeter, parking lot host, guest table host, and information
provider to OBC guests on Sunday
Fresh Start Team-mentors
qualified individuals and families in a fresh start with financial
management and full time employment.
Hospitality Team-plan,
conduct periodic church fellowships; plans, serves, coordinates
Wednesday night meals
Lord’s Supper Team-prepares
the elements and trays for service with Lord’s Supper
Missionary House Team-cares
for the residence and occupants of the house dedicated to
missions/ministry
Acts 1:8 Strategy Team-emphasizes
missions and ministry through information, activities, and church wide
opportunities
Usher and Security Team-greet
guests and provide security in our facilities on Sunday mornings
Other ministries and team projects may be added as Overbrook Teams
when needs are identified and “ministers” are impassioned to serve.
Overbrook has a New Ministry Development process to assist members in
designing new avenues for ministry to the church family and the
community.
